The Alps Residences saw massive sales record on its launch day, moving out 280 out of its 626 units.
In just a week after its preview, the Alps Residences, a private condo project in the Tampines, have sold out 45% of its total available units. This enthusiastic demand was attributed by Alps Residences to their units’ efficient designs and competitive prices.
Over 80% of the 280 units sold were one- and two-bedroom units which range from $491,000 to $ 806,000. This translates to $1,000 psf to $1,200 psf.
Another contributing factor is the demand for housing units.
According to an Alps Residences spokesperson, there is a “pent-up demand” in the Tampines, given that no new condominium has been launched since the Santorini in 2014, a 597-unit private condo project.
With the success of the Alps Residences in Tampines, high expectations are also now being set for Forest Woods, the 519-unit private condo project in Lorong Lew Lian near Upper Serangoon and Paya Lebar Road, which will begin its sales period on October 9.
Like the Alps Residences, the Forest Woods also boasts of having one of the most competitive prices and the comfortable designs of its housing units. Prices are pegged at $ 1,327 to $ 1,461 psf, or an average of $ 1,400 psf.
A one-bedroom unit is marked at $688,000, and a two-bedroom unit takes off from $ 838,000. Of the total units available, 52% are one- and two-bedroom units, including two-bedroom and study premium units.
On the other hand, 3- and 4-bedroom units range from $ 1.1 million to $ 1.65 million.
In terms of design, Forest Woods’ one- and two-bedroom units range along 506 and 517 square feet to 603 to 904 square feet. The 3- and 4-bedroom units, on the other hand, sprawl out a luxurious 743 to 1,184 square feet, and 1,238 to 1,475 square feet.
The project has since generated strong interest, said CDL group general manager Chia Ngiang Hong. This is expected to translate to strong sales with around 400 cheques collected from interested buyers.
